Jum3a Mishimshiyeh! The Week of "Organic" Apricots in Palestine II

No, I am not tricking anyone with my title.
The mishmish, or the "organic" apricots, is the sweetest fruit that is completely edible to seed. Both pink and yellow in color, it blossoms once a year and only for one week in Palestine. Most of it however quickly decays and is eaten by warms if not quickly consumed by humans. That is how it differs from the typical year-round mishmish kleibi, or the typical bland-tasting orange apricots.
The traditional week of the 'organic' apricots is the only sweet thing going for the Palestinians. And it will be remembered until next year.
Anyone ever heard the term "Bil Mishmish?"
It means "Dream On", and this is what we, the Palestinians, seem to be doing for the past two decades.
Are we still actually convinced that Israel will deliver a Palestinian state over a plate of gold? or silver? or even tin-metal?
Year round we're tasting those typical bland-tasting lies. This week, they're the juiciest.
